Gooood Tuesday morning!  We had a wonderful weekend, Addison's 4th birthday party was a huge success.  She had SO much fun - in fact, right in the middle of opening presents she shouted out "I am getting SOOO happy!"  lol!  God I love that girl :)  I'll have photos to share tomorrow!

Somtimes you just have to be silly....

Yesterday I received a stark reminder that no matter how frustrated I get, how tired I get, how crazy things get - take the time to love, take time to hug, to kiss, to care.  Let go of the frustration, take a breath and just be.  A sweet friend nearly lost her 5 year old daughter...she has been in a coma and on life support...then in an induced coma and on breathing machines...and today they extubated her and woke her up.  Her post on Facebook had me in tears, stating that hearing her daughter say hello was the 2nd best moment of her life, only 2nd to her birth. 

Life is fleeting.  Again and again I am reminded just how fleeting it is.  And I'm trying to remember to embrace each moment and soak it up, revel in it, love it, no matter what.  My 3 girls...my 3 beautiful little girls...I love them more than anything...and sometimes I get frustrated and I want to pull my hair out.  But I get to hug them.  Love them. Snuggle with them.  And I am grateful and overwhelmed by that.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

I just love Valentine's :)  The girls woke up this morning to pink & white cupcakes, heart lollipops, a giant, musical card and the movie they have been wanting; Beverly Hills Chihuhua 2.  They had made lots of handmade goodies for me and Mac...SO sweet.  I just love my girls.  Mac and I celebrated last weekend - dinner out, some shopping and some quality time just being together...that doesn't happen often lol!

I created a layout in the spirit of love ;)  All about this little girl:

 
She cracks. me. UP.  She is such a mess - a cute, princess mess.

I'm slacking again...

on the blog posting front - but, here I am!  I have been busy planning Addison's birthday party - which we are both very excited about.  The photography is also about to pick back up - Spring & Summer are always busy, so, I've been working on that front.  And I've been scrapping my little heart out.  My Moleskine journals arrived and I am anxious to start working on my art journal. 

Most of all I am just trying to embrace each day and be thankful for it...sometimes I take each new day for granted.  I forget that it's a blessing.  I forget that the stress of the day to day is temporary and not really *that* important.  It's easy to forget, so easy to forget that we aren't promised tomorrow.  I'm trying to remember to say I love you - and to tell people that I care.  Again, I take for granted that they are here, with me, every day...and I don't want to keep doing that.  I'm trying to keep perspective - yes, the house is a disaster, I'm still in my pajamas, our school day isn't running smoothly and Addison is a mini tornado...it's fine....it's not earth shattering or life altering...it's just a few chaotic moments.  Just moments.  Because that's what we have...and that's what we leave..moments. 

Sorry to get heavy on you there...there is just a lot weighing on my heart and my mind lately.  Things I'm working through, things I'm dealing with..not a bad thing necessarily, but, something I have to do.

So, I promised some layouts, right?!  Okay, okay, enough with the heavy!  This first one I used Crate Paper's Emma's Shoppe - which I loooooove:

 
Aren't those colors amazing?  And that woodgrain?!  LOVE, love this line.  I used some of my favorite mist - Studio Calico's Mr. Huey's - awesome stuff.  I also, for the first time, in a veeeerrrrry long time, hand journaled.  Whoa! lol!

These next two I created for For The Luv Of Art - I created 2 different layouts - 1 for each of the girls' books - using the same photos/title:

 

 
Both of the girls adored these photos, so, I knew they would both want a layout with them in their books :)  More misting, and some gorgeous doilies (which I am slightly addicted to these days!!)

Hey Monday....

we haven't exactly gotten along all these years....and today was no exception - blah!  I'm not a Monday type of girl...never have been.  Especially when Monday = a dentist appointment for one of the girls.  We came out unscathed...but still...blah.  I like Tuesday much better ;)

So, I was over the moon happy about Supernatural coming back last Friday..and it definitely didn't disappoint.  I haven't loved a show this much since...since....well, I'm not admitting which show it was LOL!!!

I ordered some new Moleskine Journals yesterday and I can't wait for those to arrive.  I really, really want to get into the habit of journaling and after picking up the latest Somerset Memories, I want to try my hand at art journaling.  Granted, my journal won't be nearly as gorgeous, but, it looks like so. much. fun.  As soon as this Technique Tuesday Stamp Set arrives in stores I am grabbing it, specifically for this purpose!  Can't wait!  Anyone else doing an art journal or thinking about starting?  Do you have any inspirational links or products to share??  Link me up! :)

I had so. much. fun playing with this collection!  It is so versatile...it can be used for Easter/Spring and many other ways.  Alright..off to catch up on some reading ;)  Have a great one friends! xoxo

Oh how I love this girl...

She is such an incredibly smart, sassy and beautiful little princess.   And she seriously believes she's a princess people...like, seriously!  She is the girly girl - the one that plays with Barbies and babies and loves to dress up and pretend she's a princess.  She's squeamish about dirt and all things ooey and gooey.  She is the complete opposite of her sisters in every. single. way.  When I was pregnant with her I never expected I'd get a girly girl.  Hailey and Jillian - well, they just aren't...and I figured Addison would take after them..follow in their footsteps.  But, nope.  And I have to admit...it's a lot of fun.  She loves purple and pink and squeals like a girl when she sees a bug.  She's my princess and she knows it.

She is also an incredibly funny, funny kid.  She cracks me up on a daily basis with her mannerisms and the things she says.  For instance, instead of "oh, you scared me to death" she says "oh gosh, you scared the death out of me!"  This morning, while her sisters were doing schoolwork we started a game of hide and seek.  For the life of her she couldn't stay hidden...she would start giggling hysterically as soon as I said "ready or not, here I come!"  She would giggle and go "oh gosh, oh gosh!"  She had me laughing so hard I couldn't breathe!  As we were playing with Little Pet Shop toys, I decided to goof off and bopped her with the pillow.  She gave me the stink eye for 2.2 seconds and then said, and I quote, "oh!  it's on!" and proceeded to get me with the pillow. 

I can't believe she's going to be 4 in a little over 2 weeks.  I know, I know...she's growing up, it happens.  But...she's my baby...and she's no longer going to be a toddler.  She starts Pre-K next year...I still remember being pregnant with her and bringing Jill to her first day at Pre-K!  Aaah!  Time...it just slips away, so, so fast.  She is super excited about her birthday party which is Tangled/Rapunzeled themed...I mean, beyond the moon excited.  sigh.  I know she has to grow up....but man am I going to miss snuggling with her at night and telling her that "I love you to the moon and back..." and hearing her reply "I love you to the sun and back.."  Because the bigger she gets, the less she will want to snuggle, the less she will give into my pouty face...and hug me. 

Alright.  Suck it up Warren!  lol!  I'm going to start sobbing hysterically if I don't stop...

Before I log off I want to share a couple of layouts...I created these for Crate Paper using the Studio Calico kit.  Crate and SC collaborated and boy oh boy....they created some gorgeous stuff!  Exclusive papers and stickers!  I was so thrilled to have the chance to work with these new goodies!

When did Tuesday get here??

And it brought February with it? LOL!  It does not feel like it should be February already - yikes!  I didn't get to blog yesterday - between recovering from Sunday and a double dentist appointment for the girls I crashed on the couch once we got home.  Let's just say that kickball and then XBox Kinect dance competitions will wear you out....like really, really wear you out.  I had to roll out of the bed people...roll.  The hubs was laughing way more than was necessary.  If I hadn't of been so sore I would have taken out his knee caps. 

The girls did so well at the dentist yesterday - Hailey had 2 small cavities to fill and Jill had one.  This was Jill's first time having a cavity filled and she was terrified.  She did so well though...this was a huge deal for her...she doesn't typically handle situations like this very well, but, she did this time.  I am so proud.  Then Hailey didn't even require me in there with her - I was beyond impressed with her - she was such a trooper!

Today the awesome February Freehand Scraps Kit went live, so, don't forget to go grab one - it is goooorgeous!  I received my March kit yesterday and it is, hands down, my favorite ever.  Elaine is a genius at putting thesekits together!
