My MMM entry is now in the hands of the USPS - let the fingernail biting commence.  Seriously though, I'm so happy with my entry, especially my "I Believe" layout - it's by far my absolute favorite layout - ever.  I put a lot of me into it, and I hope, hope, hope that it shows.  I never felt that way about my HOF entry.

And because I have been unable to share photos in the event I used one for my MMM entry, I want to share this one of Jill - this one didn't make it onto a MMM layout, but, it will be coming soon to a layout near you ;o)  It's not often she feels like modeling for me, so, when she does, I take advantage of it.  Of course the 2nd photo clearly shows that she only gives me a short period of time before she's bored with it! LOL!!

Just Call Me The Bargainater

Which of course, by no stretch of the imagination, is an actual word LOL!!  If you have a Kroger nearby, then run to get in on the serious deal they've got going on with the Buy 10, get $5 off at the register - I racked up and even ended up getting three tubs of Huggies wipes for $1 each!  I remembered, thankfully, at the last minute, that I had a few Huggies wipes coupons for $.50 off and then Kroger doubled the coupon!  Gotta' love the coupons people.

I am on my very last layout for the MMM contest.  It is SO close to being finished - just needs some paper pushed, some tweaking and that will be it.  My other layouts are boxed and completely ready, supply lists and all.  So, tommorrow I should be able to ship this baby out!  It's amazing that I went from feeling like I couldn't possibly finish to being nearly done.  I couldn't have done it though without some really amazing people coming in and cheering me on. 

August 9th brings the new issue of www.scrapbooknewsandreview.com.  Can I just say how psyched I am to be a part of such an amazing group?  This month is going to be loaded with tons of eye candy and my Simply Scrapbooking Column will be featuring layouts created on a budget of $5 or less!

What A Weekend!

School starts back in 29 days.  In light of this, we have started buying school clothes, supplies, backpacks and lunchboxes.  Over the weekend I hit sale, after sale, after sale.  Goody's had clothes reduced to insane amounts, I purchased 6 outfits for $89.  Penney's was just as insane, I bought 4 onsies and 2 dresses for Addison for $10.  The shoes the girls were dying to have (Sketchers Cali Gear) were marked down to $17.99 from $30 so we grabbed a pair for each of the girls.  We bought all their supplies, their backpacks and lunchboxes for under $40.  I also did grocery shopping and saved a bundle there by using the Grocery Game.  I just started the Grocery Game and already, within just 2 weeks I am seeing the difference. 

I was so proud of myself for spending wisely.  Then it happened.  Even Mac wasn't prepared for it.

 I think I squealed (ok, I know I did.)  I also jumped up and down.  Oh.  And I high fived Hailey (who was completeIy clueless what we were celebrating about.)  Not only did they have Martha, but they had Autumn Leaves.  And bling.  And new inks and adhesive.  Oh, and they had Martha glitter.  And for those of you who read this and think "what is she on about?" , it's all scrapbooking stuff.  Glorious new scrapbooking stuff.  I snatched up a Martha punch and Martha tags.  I drooled over the glitter and amazingly enough, I was able to restrain myself.  I also grabbed some of the bling (because I can not, in any shape or fashion, resist bling).  So next week I'll start purchasing the glitter.  And maybe a new punch.  I've got to space it out, otherwise Mac will start acting manly and pretend he's putting his foot down.  Gotta' let him believe he's got some control, right?  Right.

So for now I will leave you with Addison doing what she does best - getting into my scrap stuff.  She can't resist the rows of jars and packages and bottles and tubes of scrapping goodness.  She nabbed my American Crafts Foam while my back was turned.  Please ignore the paint on the carpet..that will be the very first room the new hardwood will go in LOL!!

Pink & Black...

are SO much fun in a wedding...I was lucky enough to shoot Ashley and Dusty's wedding Saturday and I had such a wonderful time.  The entire wedding was so beautiful and so colorful.  I love shooting weddings where the bride and groom want to capture the FUN parts too!  Here are just a few sneaks from the day...

A couple of photos from the beach, we had such a wonderful time with the girls.  This was the first trip to the beach in forever....I didn't realize how much I had missed it!  Hopefully we'll make it back again before school starts!  I am also rediscovering my love for my 85mm.  I had practically shelved it in favor of my 50 and my 28...but, I took it with me for beach photos and I remember why I loved it so much to begin with!

The Past Few Weeks....

Have been insane!  We spent our vacation in North Georgia again this year and it was amazing.  We so love hiking to the falls, spending the time outdoors and taking it all in.  It's just incredible there.  We weren't ready to come home at all....we wanted just a few more days there. 

When we arrived home I found that I had no internet, after several days the server was back up, only to go right back down the next day.  So, having had my fill of dial up I finally ordered DSL and I am now up and running at full speed!  Perfect timing too since I have a wedding to shoot this weekend and I have tons of work to submit!! 

We spent Saturday at the beach with Hailey and Jillian and had a wonderful time playing in the waves and relaxing.  Then yesterday we celebrated Jillian's 6th birthday!  I can't believe my little girl is 6 already, it just blows me away.  We'll be having her big birthday party on Sunday and she is so excited!
