Addison Grace Is Here!!

I wanted to introduce our brand new little girl who made an early appearance on February 19th at 12:31 p.m.!  She weighed 6lbs 8ozs and measured 19 inches long.  She surprised us by coming 3 weeks early.  I'll share the full story soon...right now I'm functioning on 2 hours of sleep and I'm exhausted. 

The following day after Addison's arrival Hailey was admitted to the hospital for vomiting and pnemonia, the next day Jillian was admitted too.  Jillian was finally released yesterday after a very difficult week.  Thankfully we're all on the mend and settling in. 

Addison is doing well...she's a nursing pro...and I'm thoroughly enjoying cuddling, snuggling and spoiling her.  Her big sisters simply adore her and are always on hand to help out!!  Ok...off to get some rest (maybe lol!!)

Visits & Baby Clothes

 

A quick visit to Papa's was in order for two little girls who were antsy to see him this afternoon.  A visit with Papa always includes chocolate and Nintendo....as these photos clearly indicate.  A visit without these two things just isn't a visit.  I kept my distance from dad in case I'm still germy.  A few minutes with Papa always seems to rejuvenate them.

I finally have Addison's going home outfit washed and in the bag for the hospital.  Found this adorable set on the Baby Gap website and couldn't resist.  Little onsie, pants, sweater and socks.   

I'm a little crampy and uncomfy this afternoon.  Not sure if it means anything, but, I'm hoping Addison doesn't suddenly decide that the Brethine is no match for her today.  Yucky thunderstorms and heavy rain right now....so hang in there baby girl!

Still Sick

So, just as the stomach virus wears off I come down with a chest cold.  Ugh.  I've been nursing my sickies for almost a week now and I'm just ready to be better.  Mac woke up feeling yucky this morning, so, I'll be nursing him back to health as well. 

36 Weeks now and my appointment this morning went fine.  Still measuring small, but, he's estimating she's still around 6lbs.  Next week I'm off of the Brethine and I can have her if my body so desires.  I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that I'm going to have a tiny newborn in my arms again.  It's overwhelming sometimes to think about.  Despite some of the issues I've had throughout this pregnancy I'm not quite ready to *not* be pregnant.  Does that make sense?  I've enjoyed the belly, the kicks and jabs.  I've enjoyed the process this time, much more than I ever did with Hailey and Jill.  I have more patience this time around.  I know though, that once she's here, I'll no longer miss pregnancy because I'll be so enamored with my little girl.

So, that's the news on my end.  Hopefully by next week I'll be completely well should she decide to make her grand appearance. 

35 Wk Update & The Sickies

My 35 week appointment was yesterday and everything is clear and good!  He guestimates Addison is at about 6lbs now and in a week and a half I can come off of the medication!  From there I can have her at any time :o)  No more restrictions other than the no heavy lifting, etc.  Yay!!!

I think I picked up a bug from Hailey's doctor's office...woke up dizzy, sweating and yucky.  Headache, stuffiness, the works.  Oh how I hope this doesn't end with a fever.  I'm just drinking plenty of fluids and resting...love the laptop and knitting right now lol!!!

Allergies & Photo Overload

So, Hailey's appointment with the doctor yesterday gave us an unexpected result.  The coughing, rash, etc. was due to an allergic reaction.  To what?  We have no idea.  This is the second time the rash/hives have happened.  The first time it went away quickly with Benadryl.  This time, Benadryl didn't touch it.  So, she's taking steroids for three days and Claritin.  I'm baffled as to what she's allergic to.  She hasn't been introduced to anything new.  Doctor told us that if it continues happening on a monthly basis then we'll have to do some allergy testing.  I remember that with Jillian and I'm not looking forward to putting Hailey through it too.

After picking Jillian up from school yesterday both girls begged to go to the park for a bit.  I couldn't refuse, afterall, they had some energy that needed burning.  We couldn't stay long because the wind picked up and things got a bit chilly.  They had fun though and so did I, playing with the camera and forcing them to endure my constant presence with camera in hand.  My 85mm arrived ;o)

In All My Glory

34 Weeks & 5 Days here!  Today marks 35 weeks, so, in 2 more weeks I can come off of the Brethine!  Doctor told me that after that point he won't try to stop labor.  My next visit is tomorrow, so, I'm anxious to see if we can schedule our final ultrasound for a weight/size estimate.  It's hard to believe that in 2 more weeks I could be holding Addison.  This pregnancy has gone by so quickly, nothing like my last 2!! 

I am home today with a sick Hailey.  Apparently we are passing some kind of funky little bug around the house.  She woke up with a fever/cough this morning so it's off to the doctor for us in just a bit.  Have a wonderful day everyone!!

Hope

I want to share a quote about hope that I recently read:

Have you ever felt that way about hope?  I have.  I don't feel as though I'm necessarily a negative person, but, I have on occasion given up hope.  I used to think it was weakness.  Or that by giving up hope I was failing myself and the very thing I was holding onto hope for.  I realized though, that no matter how many times I gave up, hope always returned.  In the eyes of one of my children.  In the miracle of a tiny blessing.  In the strength and determination of another.  Hope, I now know, doesn't have to be something you hold onto inside.  Hope is all around us.  Everyone, somewhere, is hoping for something.  That hope is a positive thing, a driving force.  Stop for a moment.  What are you hoping for right now?  How close are you to giving up and if you have, why?  Hope is a powerful emotion.  Sometimes it can be a painful one.  I have found though that I would rather hold onto hope for forever, then to give it up altogether. 

Conversions

I love doing conversions...and have been doing some off and on for friends.  I'm going to be adding these to my "portfolio" on my side bar too.  I use PSP 8 and my own conversions.  I adore PSP 8, but, unlike PS, there really aren't any conversions to upload to it.  So, I do my own!  I want to start offering this soon...Here is a recent set:

I did it....

After days of going back and forth, back and forth, comparing, reading reviews, asking questions, I finally ordered a new lens.  The Canon 85mm/1.8.  I was torn between it and two other lenses.  Ultimately it won me over, but, not without a fight!!!  So, next on my list is the Sigma  28-300 3.5-6.3.  They were in the same price range...and both have such awesome capabilities.  So, this is my 30th birthday present and my Valentines gift :o)   Let's just hope I can get the hang of it!!!!
