Christmas is over and we are headed into the New Year. Despite having a sick Addison, we had a wonderful Christmas. The girls woke up with squeals of excitement over the gifts that Santa left. My favorite part of Christmas? Those squeals of joy and happiness. I'll never get tired of hearing their excitement. I'll never tire of sharing in their delight. Even if it is at the buttcrack of dawn lol!!!
I have spent the better part of the week tending to Addison (who is still sick) and organizing/de-cluttering the house. As strange as it sounds, I enjoy the process of purging all the junk that we somehow collect. I like how it makes me feel to have my house back in order, even if it doesn't last too terribly long lol!
I took the girls out earlier in the week for some new photos. It had been months since I photographed them with something other than my iphone. Mom of the year, huh? We braved the cold and the wind and got these:
I've been thinking of my One Little Word for 2013 and I have chosen: perspective. It is so easy to lose perspective - to forget just how awesome things are. To let the little bumps in the road get in the way of the awesome highway ahead. I want to keep a positive perspective on things. What is your OLW for 2013?
Before I sign off, I want to share a recent Garden layout (and my very last one)
Hoping everyone had a wonderful holiday - no matter what or how you celebrate. ♥♥♥
