I realized that I don't really share a lot of personal things on here...as far as what I like, what I'm reading, music, etc. So...like it or not, I'm going to share *cue evil laugh* No, seriously, I'd love to share what makes me happy. It makes me...well, happy, to do so.
I love reading. It's a passion/obsession/love that I have had since I was very young. I started out reading Sweet Valley High books (boy am I showing my age here....) and honestly, I've never grown up. I still absolutely adore young adult books. Sure, I've read some Dean Koontz, Stephen King, etc., but, I love the cheesy crap. Lately it's all paranormal young adult books. Go ahead. You can laugh. I won't blame you! My Kindle & Ipad are loaded with books. It's a bit insane. Reading is how I unwind and re-focus myself. I can lose myself in a book and when I'm finished I feel lighter. Just letting my imagination take off that way is refreshing and soothing. I tend to get totally absorbed in series of books...Harry Potter for instance. I didn't resurface from those books until book 6 was over (and my husband came home to his wife crying hysterically on the couch.) I remember anxiously awaiting book 7 and I read it in 2 days flat. Thankfully my family takes it in stride. My kids love to read too. And, just like their mom, they love to get involved in a series of books. I love that they love books like I do, it makes me insanely proud.
So, what am I currently reading? I just wrapped up a series by Jennifer L. Armentrout called the Lux series. I am now reading another series of hers - Covenant. her writing is fun, witty, light and really engaging. If you love paranormal young adult books, you will love her.
I also highly recommend all of Becca Fitzpatrick's Hush Hush series - again, fantastic writing and you will get sucked right in!
I am always looking for new books to read, new authors to check out, so, please feel free to share some of your favorites!!
