We decided several months ago that I would take the entire month of January off from the photography business. It has turned out to be the best decision for us. It gives me time to recharge and for the family to re-group. I'm so happy to have a few weekends for family activity - we were really missing our family time! This weekend we went with some friends to High Falls near Atlanta, GA. It was a gorgeous day, perfect for hiking. We had a picnic lunch and then hit the trails. SO peaceful.
We're planning to go back during the summer...I would love to see it in full bloom!

Will be turning 5 next month...I seriously can't believe it...FIVE?!!! She wants a princess birthday party (of course.) She has also changed her mind and decided that instead of an American Girl McKenna doll she wants Lego Friends?!?! I'm not sure about that though...something I'll have to really think about. In the long run I think she'd be happier with the AG doll....
